Premise: Conan O'Brien hosts the 58th annual gala. Among the highlights: a salute to TV icon Dick Clark led by Simon Cowell and featuring a tribute performance by Barry Manilow. In addition, producer Aaron Spelling (1923-2006) is honored. Presenters include Edie Falco, James Gandolfini, Heidi Klum, Kiefer Sutherland, Evangeline Lilly, Dennis Haysbert, Eva Longoria, Bradley Whitford, Wentworth Miller, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Tina Fey. Taped Aug. 27, 2006, at L.A.'s Shrine Auditorium.
