A daytime science-and-technology magazine for kids 8 to 12 from the Children's Television Workshop (`Sesame Street') with kid hosts (who changed from season to season) and a distinctive adventure segment in which `The Bloodhound Gang' used knowledge of scientific principles to solve crimes. Regular production ended in 1988, but occasional `3-2-1 Contact Extra' specials aired on PBS until 1992.
