AMAs: Bieber Wins Big; New Kids and Backstreet Boys Blow Crowd Away

Justin Bieber took home several American Music Awards, while more than a dozen artists performed live — including, for the first time together, New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys.

Among Bieber's prizes Sunday night was artist of the year. He beat mentor Usher and became the award's youngest recipient. The 16-year-old heartthrob also walked away with the favorite male artist and breakthrough artist awards.

Other notable wins went to Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift for favorite male and female country artists, respectively, and Usher who nabbed best soul/R&B male artist and album.

R&B fans can look forward to Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Usher, while rockers await Bon Jovi and the pairing of Carlos Santana and Gavin Rossdale. Also on tap is music from Christina Aguilera and Sean Combs' new dance-music project, Diddy-Dirty Money.
