TBS' half of Turner's Wednesday upfronts presentation kicked off with renewal news for Tyler Perry's House of Payne (returning in June) and 10 Items or Less. The laugh-centric cabler then announced a development slate featuring: National Banana Already in Progress, a late-night sketch show exec-produced by Jerry Zucker (Airplane!). A scripted comedy produced by Def Jam's Russell Simmons and starring Run DMC's "Run." A half-hour laffer exec-produced by and starring William H. Macy. A late-night reality series which returns middle-aged men to their frat boy days. (And you thought all it took was a case of Pabst.) An improv show exec-produced by Jamie Foxx. Top Ten, which claims to "pit comedians against each other."Bookmark our FALL TV GRID | Review All of Our FALL TV NEWS

The when: Get in line for the season premiere Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 11 pm/ET on TBS.Why watch?: Pining for some workplace humor? 10 Items or Less is opening its lane for business and it could be just your cure for the office blues! This scripted and sometimes improvisational show details the comedic side of life and work at a family-owned grocery store. With a cast of quirky characters that rivals Scrubs, it's easy to see why this show could be the hidden gem of the season.Who's who: Series creator and comedy improv actor John Lehr portrays Leslie Pool, the new and inept manager who inherited the Greens and Grains grocery store from his father. Assisting Leslie is the painfully awkward and equally humorous Carl Dawson (Robert Clendenin), a dorky yet endearing stock boy. Yolanda Nelson (Roberta Valderrama) adds pizzazz and plenty of attitude to the produce department, while Todd Sykes (Chris Payne Gilbert) gets treated like a piece of meat as the store's hunky butcher. Meanwhile, Ric...

'What Women Want'This is our fourth episode and my favorite. Without giving too much away, four of our characters get it on. Its a make-out free for all. Theres also a fighttwo characters end up with black eyes. What more could you ask for? This was my first real kissing scene as an actor and I was scared to death. Actually, I had a brief kiss in an episode of Jesse on NBC. I played Christina Applegates mute brotherprobably the easiest gig of my life. I had a network job sandwiched between Friends and Frazier (by the way, I think 30 minutes of black screen sandwiched between Friends and Frazier would get good numbers). I got network money and I didnt have to learn any lines! Although I have to admit that is sort of what Im doing now. Since the show is improvised, I dont have any lines to learn, but somehow it doesnt feel as easy as those salad days on Jesse.My...
