Inside the NFL has finalized its roster. Warren Sapp, who recently retired after 13 seasons as a defensive lineman with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders, has been signed as an analyst for the veteran series, which moves to Showtime this fall.

Sapp joins the previously announced trio of James Brown, Phil Simms and Cris Collinsworth (a holdover from the show's HBO days).

"This is a dream job," says Sapp, who led Tampa Bay to Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003. "The show digs deeper into the games and the issues surrounding the league more than any other football show out there I've got 13 years of experience in the trenches to bring to the table."

Showtime chairman/CEO Matt Blank said: "With his defensive perspective, Sapp is the perfect complement to Simms and Collinsworth. And having just come off the field, his energy will help push the boundaries of the show to new limits."

The new season of Inside the NFL premieres Wednesday, Sept. 9, 9 pm/ET.
