NFL Heads to London (and Beyond?)

A different style of football invades London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 28, when the NFL hosts its first regular-season game outside North America.

The matchup between the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins will start at 1 pm/ET (6 o'clock local time in London) on Fox, but will only be aired in scheduled regional markets. Thom Brennaman, Daryl Johnston and sideline reporter Tony Siragusa will call the game.

ESPN's Rachel Nichols will be in England the entire weekend providing updates and conducting interviews with players for SportsCenter and Sunday NFL Countdown.

"Our goal is to translate America's obsession into the world's passion," NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said at a sports business conference in London yesterday. If this game is a success, the league will schedule more regular-season games abroad next year. - Reporting by Rob Moynihan
