Viral Video | Best of Year 2007

Best Viral Web Videos
What a year for online videos! Between reality contestants collapsing, babies swearing up a storm and Britney's VMA performance (or rather, lack thereof), 2007 has been huge in the land of web vids. Here are some of our top picks:
Marie Osmond Collapses on DWTS
After putting on some serious samba moves during a live broadcast of Dancing with the Stars, contestant Marie Osmond shocked the crowd when she passed out cold while awaiting her scores. After the show to cut to the longest commercial break ever, we learned that Marie forgot to do one very important thing while performing — breathe!
The first 17 minutes of the Prison Break Season 3 Premiere
When last season ended, fans were left with jaws hanging as we laid eyes on the hardcore Panamanian prison that would be Michael's new home. With one bro on the outside, the other on the inside and nearly five months of withdrawal from new episodes, it's no wonder fans jumped at the chance for this sneak peek of Sona.
Behind the Scenes of CSI's Premiere
After the eighth season opener found Sara left for dead under a wrecked car, CBS released behind-the-scenes video play-by-play of the special effects used to put her there. The clip demonstrates how the CSI team made the episode a reality — complete with mangled car and man-made dessert!
Britney at the VMA's
The day after MTV's VMAs hit the air-waves, watercooler chatter focused on one thing, and one thing only — Britney Spears' opening performance train wreck. Everything about that pop-tart's performance was a hot-mess — the outfit, the hair, the dancing…she couldn't even lip sync to her own song!
Lost Season Finale
Nothing can explain the phenomenon that is Lost. After last May's two-hour season finale, everyone and their moms were taking about the shockers that left our heads spinning. There was a lot of grumbling about how poorly the season began, but the hype behind this mind-blowing finale made this online episode one of the most watched this year.
Biggest Buzz
Alicia Silverstone's Naked PETA Ad
Promoting her pro-veggie way of life, the Clueless alum knew she had to cut through the clutter to grab our attention — and grab our attention she did! Emerging from a pool stark naked in this risqué PETA commercial, Silverstone somehow managed to make tofu a much sexier alternative.
Clinton's Sopranos Spoof
Those crafty candidates have really upped their game, turning to the internet to panhandle for votes. Former First Lady Hillary Clinton (alongside her hubby/costar Bill) spoofed the controversial Sopranos season finale and adopted a new campaign theme song. Oh, the things we do to prove that we have a sense of humor.
The Landlord
There was just something about a baby cursing out a grown man that made this Funny or Die video an overnight sensation (though Will Ferrell's star power may have helped a touch). In the skit, Ferrell is a deadbeat tenant who gets chewed out by his drunken, potty-mouthed landlord — who just so happens to be a 2 year-old cutie! Sadly, this tiny starlet has gone into retirement since and will be missed greatly. We love you Pearl!
D--ck in a Box
The internet wasn't the only place this catchy tune (preformed by SNL's Andy Samberg and guest star Justin Timberlake) made its mark. The megahit was performed live during JT's tour and even landed a Creative Arts Emmy for its lyrics. Who knew “Put your junk in that box” could lead to such a prestigious award?
Leave Britney Alone
At first, we were just scared of Chris Cocker's tearful (and yet creepy) plea defending Britney Spears' honor. For some reason, he won't go away. Cocker isn't getting the fact that his 15 minutes are long over. Fingers crossed his reality show development deal has as little staying power as his mascara!
Miss Teen South Carolina's Brilliant Answer
Not to say all responses during the question/answer portion of beauty pageants are profound, but nothing will ever top how incomprehensible Miss Teen South Carolina's response. She got about as far as rephrasing the question before she completely lost her ability to formulate a coherent sentence. Even host Mario Lopez struggled to keep from laughing in her face.
The Dec. 17 issue of TV Guide offers more end-of-year revelry, including a revealing interview with Kate Walsh and a recap of the juiciest Watercooler moments.

On TV Guide Network: Watercooler recaps January’s big premieres (airs Jan. 7), Reality Chat previews the new reality shows (Jan. 8) and Reality Chat: Idol Wrap looks at American Idol's new season (Jan. 11).
