Season 29, Episode 6 Bioterror

First Aired: November 13, 2001

Three New York Times reporters survey the dangers of bioterrorism---what one of them, Judith Miller, calls "the perfect weapon for someone like Osama bin Laden." Miller, William Broad and Stephen Engelberg trace biological warfare back to World War II, but focus on the USSR's program during the 1980s. They also look at how terrorists can become "bioweaponeers," and assess their chances of success and how much damage they might cause.
