The Top 6 contestants are tasked to take over a high-end restaurant in Los Angeles and report to chef Gordon Ramsay, who serves as the consultant for the dinner service. Later, the losing team faces a pressure test involving croquembouche.
The Top 11 chefs choose between two mystery boxes, one containing ordinary ingredients and the other holding high-end items. The winner receives immunity and gets to pick which stuffed pasta the remaining cooks will use in the elimination challenge.
The remaining 14 chefs prepare classic American fare for customers at Dinah's, a busy diner in Los Angeles. The losing team face a pressure test in which they must prepare an elaborate three-layer red-velvet cake.
A mystery-box challenge has the Top 16 chefs preparing dishes using canned foods. The winner will work with former "MasterChef" champion Luca Manfe and "MasterChef Junior" winner Alexander Weiss to select a specialty dish for the elimination round.
