A profile of "To Kill a Mockingbird" author Harper Lee, whose childhood in Monroeville, Ala., provided the inspiration for the classic 1960 novel, her only book. The documentary also delves into the making of the Oscar-winning 1962 film; Lee's friendship with childhood neighbor Truman Capote; and the impact the novel had and still has on readers. Included: remarks by Lee's sister Alice Finch Lee.
