How about some nice words ...

Question: How about some nice words about the late Wendie Jo Sperber, who recently lost her battle to cancer? I remember first seeing her in an Afterschool Special and, of course, came to love her on Bosom Buddies. Wendi Jo was talented, funny and helped broaden the standard definition of "sexy" or "attractive" for a whole generation. Like Dana Hill, she was a great talent who still had a lot more to give as a person and a performer when we lost her.
Answer: Thanks for that tribute. She was one of those great go-to gals (Kathy Najimy is another) who was not just a terrific comedic character actress, but a character as well who often made a show seem funnier than it really was. Just thinking of that acerbic, wry voice makes me smile. By all accounts, she was loved both on and off screen, and I'm only sorry Wendie Jo Sperber never got a show to call her own that would have made Wendie Jo Sperber the household name Wendie Jo Sperber so deserved to be.
