Question: Now that the first few episodes have aired, what is your opinion of TNT's
Wanted?
Answer: Pretty much what it was when I filed my
initial review, based on having seen the first three episodes. I watched the fourth episode last weekend, and am not that keen about staying with it to the end. The flashy camerawork and music-video editing aren't enough to mask the generic nature of the violent stories and the macho characters, although
Gary Cole and
Lee Tergesen are, as always, worth watching, even if I'm bored stiff with the dour details of Cole's unhappy personal life. It's not a very relaxing way to finish a long Sunday night of viewing, but then, it isn't meant to be. (I prefer
The Closer, as do several million others.)
