Zooey Deschanel is saying "yes" not just on screen, but off.
The actress, who currently stars in Jim Carrey's Yes Man, and Death Cab for Cutie front man Ben Gibbard (who also fronts The Postal Service), are engaged, People reports. Deschanel's rep could not immediately be reached for comment.
Deschanel, 28, is also pursuing music of her own. Last March, she released her first album with alt-country band She & Him — but don't expect her to embrace music full-time just yet. Deschanel (who has also appeared on TV in Weeds, among other shows) will appear next in 500 Days of Summer, due in theaters in July.
Her husband-to-be, meanwhile, is trying his hand at acting. Gibbard, 32, will appear in Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, the upcoming big-screen adaption of a short story collection by David Foster Wallace. Office star John Krasinksi is directing the film.
