Macklemore, Lady Gaga Among Nominees for First YouTube Music Awards

Macklemore, Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber are among the nominees for the first annual YouTube Music Awards. The nominations are based on YouTube data over the past year based on fan engagement, including views, likes, shares, comments and subscriptions. The winners of each of the six categories will be determined by fan votes, counted by sharing the official YouTube Music Awards nomination videos on Twitter, Facebook and Google+.

YouTube also announced that Avicii, M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator and Walk Off the Earth will join previously announced performersEminem, Gaga, Arcade Fire, Lindsey Stirling and CDZA for the Nov. 3 live show.
