So this means Beyonce will be performing live on the season finale, right?
Rowland, 32, would join executive producer Simon Cowell and returning judge Demi Lovato, as a replacement for Britney Spears, who exited after one season. According to EW, Cowell is hoping to hire a third female judge to round out the four-person panel, rather than a second male judge to replace L.A. Reid, who left last year after two seasons. Latin singer Paulina Rubio is reportedly being considered.
"We start X Factor auditions in Charleston on Tuesday. The new panel will be announced Monday," Cowell tweeted early Saturday. "This is going to be an interesting show!" Fox declined to comment.
Rowland has plenty of judging experience. She served as a judge on Season 8 of the U.K. X Factor. Rowland would also be an interesting pick because unlike other singing competitions like American Idol, groups are one of the four major categories of acts on The X Factor. It would be a great fit for one-third of one of the most successful female groups of all time to coach the groups, no?
Rowland reunited with Destiny's Child in February when Beyonce performed at the Super Bowl halftime Show. She is also dropping her fourth studio album, Talk a Good Game, in June.
Do you think Rowland is a good pick? Who do you want to see join the show?
