After Wednesday's X Factorwas interrupted by the rain-delayed San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals baseball game, Fox has announced the conclusion of the "Judges' Homes" round will air Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8/7c, when the entire episode will be re-aired.
Game 3 of the National League Championship Series was temporarily halted by a rain delay, during which time Fox decided to begin broadcasting the newest episode of The X Factor on the East Coast. Unfortunately, when the game was resumed halfway through the episode, X Factor viewers were left hanging as to who the final six continuing contestants would be. (Click here at your own risk if you want to see the results thus far.) The show did not air at all on the West Coast.

The X Factor Rainy-Day Results: Who Made the Top 16 (So Far)? Who Left?
X Factor
judge Simon Cowell tweeted his displeasure, calling the scheduling disaster "a total f up."
The new scheduling will pit X Factor against rival singing competition The Voicefor the first time since premiere week. The last time the two competitions went head-to-head, The Voice beat out the X Factor.
Going up against The Voice isn't the only negative consequence of The X Factor's temporary move to Tuesday. The broadcast will also preempt new episodes of New Girland The Mindy Project. This is the second week in a row the comedies will be off the air, following a preemption this week for Presidential debate. The two series' return will also be delayed another week courtesy of the Nov. 6 Election coverage.
