During the first half, Germany scored five goals over 18 minutes. They followed up in the second half with two more goals. Brazil finally scored one goal in the 90th minute.

Thanks to one goal in the first half, Germany's Miroslav Klose made history becoming the highest scorer in FIFA World Cup history with 16 goals over 23 matches.

The World Cup continues on Wednesday with the semifinal match between the Netherlands and Argentina (4/3c, ESPN).
