IN THE WORKS

Former Commander in Chief show-runner Rod Lurie is developing for ABC the drama pilot Triumph, about an 18-year-old youth who is named mayor of a small town — a concept that has been in the works "for a long time," says Lurie, deflecting talk that it was inspired by the recent election of teenage Linesville, Pa., mayor Chris Seeley.... Also per Variety: Ashton Kutcher is producing NBC's For Pete's Sake, a sitcom about five people who repeatedly die but fail to get into heaven, thus sending them back to Earth for another try.
