Break out the celebratory mint juleps! American Pharoah (and yes, that's how the horse likes to spell it) won the 141st Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky., Saturday afternoon.

Ridden by Victor Espinoza and trained by Bob Baffert, American Pharoah held off Firing Line and the previously unbeaten Dortmund down the stretch. This was the fifth straight win for American Pharoah, and the fourth Derby victory for Baffert, who also trained Dortmund.

This was also the second consecutive victory for Espinoza, who rode California Chrome to the Derby's winner's circle in 2014.
