What to Watch on Oprah's New Network

Oprah Winfrey is kicking off 2011 with the launch of her new network, and the slate of new programming for the first day features everyone from Jay-Z to sex therapist Dr. Laura Berman.  The Oprah Winfrey Network, which will air on what used to be Discovery Health in 85 million homes, will broadcast specials, original documentaries and acquired movies alongside 22 announced original series, many of which will be previewed on New Year's Day.  Check our hour-by-hour guide of what to expect from the launch of OWN.

Oprah Winfrey is kicking off 2011 with the launch of her new network, and the slate of new programming for the first day features everyone from Jay-Z to sex therapist Dr. Laura Berman.

In this 60-minute special, Winfrey gives viewers a sneak peek of her favorite shows slated to premiere on OWN and explains the network's mission to "entertain, inform and inspire people to live their best lives."

This series asks the question: Can work-crazed parents learn a lesson in parenting from their children? Watch as kids stand up to their workaholic parents and try to make their voices heard.

Oprah Presents Master Class — Jay-Z
2 p.m.
Master Class takes an even deeper look at the celebs you thought you knew best. The first episode focuses on Jay-Z as he recounts his rise from the Brooklyn projects to superstardom and what he's learned in the process about integrity, failure and knowing your truth.
