The lights aren't out for Lights Out executive producer Warren Leight, who is in talks to return to the Law & Order franchise as an executive producer and showrunner on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Deadline.com reports.
Leight, whose FX series was just given the axe, will succeed Neal Baer, who is stepping down after 11 years on SVU. He recently signed a three-year overall deal with CBS TV Studios.
SVU has seen ratings for Season 12 slide slightly. The show averages 8.7 million viewer, down a bit from last season's 9 million. At its peak, the show drew 17 million in Season 2.
