It's official: Gwen Stefani has signed on to The Voice as a coach for the show's upcoming seventh season, NBC announced Tuesday.

The No Doubt lead singer, 44, will replace Christina Aguilera, who announced her pregnancy in February. NBC also revealed Tuesday that Aguilera will return for Season 8, which is expected to air next spring. Shortly before Stefani's addition was made public, Aguilera congratulated the singer on Twitter.

Stefani will join previously announced new addition Pharrell Williams, as well as Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, who have officially signed on for Season 7. Williams will step in for CeeLo Green, who announced his permanent exit the singing competition series in February.

Pharrell joins The Voice for Season 7

Stefani and Williams have collaborated several times before. In April, Stefani appeared onstage during Williams' set at Coachella to sing her hit "Hollaback Girl," which they co-wrote nearly 10 years ago. Stefani was also featured on his first solo single, "Can I Have It Like That," back in 2005. Both will perform on The Voice during Monday's show.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8/7c on NBC. Do you think Stefani will make a good fit for The Voice?
