The View Preps for 12th Season Premiere

The View will kick off its 12th season with a bang on Sept. 2, welcoming the New Kids on the Block to its set, ABC has announced.That's not all that's in store for the chatfest though. To celebrate the 12th season, the ladies of The View, Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd, have filmed promotional spots that will begin airing on ABC Aug. 18. In them, the quintet close with the tagline, "Ready, Set, View."On Aug. 25, viewers can get in on the action at the show's Web site to check out the Top 12 moments from this past season to gear up for the following Tuesday's live premiere.Also lined up for premiere week are ER's Maura Tierney, Terrence Howard, Audrina Patridge, Adrian Grenier and Do Not Disturb's Niecy Nash.
