Stacey Dash says that gender inequality in pay is an excuse.

In a recent — and very awkward — interview with Meredith Vieira, the actress said that the pay gap, where women earn on average just 78 cents to a man's dollar, is just an excuse not to work hard.

"It's the same thing with race," she says, "it's an excuse. Stop making excuses. If there are opportunities, seize them."

As Vieira points out, the numbers don't lie, and women are fighting an uphill battle for pay equality. But Dash doesn't feel that's true and argues that the host's daughter will be able to make "as much money as she wants," if she works hard.
