VIDEO: J.J. Abrams Wishes Fans a Happy Star Wars Day

May the fourth be with you. Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams took a break from working on the upcoming film in London to post a "video selfie," in which he and writer/producer Lawrence Kasdan wish fans a Happy Star Wars Day.

Star Wars: Episode VII director J.J. Abrams took a break from working on the upcoming film in London to post a "video selfie," in which he and writer/producer Lawrence Kasdan wish fans a Happy Star Wars Day.

Star Wars: Episode VII cast revealed!

"We are desperately missing our families back in California," Abrams said, with Kasdan later chiming in. "As casting announcements continue and the production wraps up, we would just like to wish you a very Happy Star Wars Day.

The video comes just days after Abrams revealed the final cast for Episode VII, which includes returning stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill, as well as newcomers Adam Driver, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac. Plot details about the new installment are scarce, but it will take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi and is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
