VIDEO: Jay Leno Continues to Rib NBC in Tonight Show Monologue

Jay Leno

With a deal to replace him reportedly in the works, Jay Leno has little reason to hold his tongue. The Tonight Show host made yet another joke about NBC in Thursday's opening monologue.

Report: Jimmy Fallon to replace Jay Leno, Tonight Show to move to New York

"Are you all excited about March Madness? Are you all into March Madness?" Leno asked. "People are talking about who's in, who's out, who's gonna be eliminated. And that's just here at NBC. I have never been in the paper this much. It's fantastic."

Earlier this week, Leno called NBC executives "snakes" and the network "extinct" in his monologues.

According to The New York Times, NBC has a plan in place to replace Leno with Jimmy Fallon and move the late-night series back to New York starting in 2014, which would make this the second time NBC has bumped Leno for a younger model. In 2009, Conan O'Brien briefly hosted The Tonight Show when Leno moved to prime time before Leno returned to his old post.
