Irish rockers U2 have booked a full week on The Late Show with David Letterman to promote their upcoming album, according to The Associated Press.

In an unprecedented move for The Late Show, U2, which hasn't appeared on Letterman's show since October 2001, will perform as the musical guest each night from March 2 to 6. The White Stripes did a similar weeklong stint on Late Night with Conan O'Brien in 2003.

U2's new album, "No Line on the Horizon" will be released March 3. The performed the first single from the album, "Get on Your Boots," at Sunday's Grammy Awards to kick off the show.
