TV Guide Magazine's Fan Favorites Panel Reveals Scoop & Secrets at Comic-Con

Comic-Con's biggest stars were out for the third annual TV Guide Magazine Fan Favorites panel, with president and editor-in-chief Debra Birnbaum welcoming some the hottest names in TV, including Blair Underwood (Ironside), Henry Ian Cusick (The 100), Emily Bett Rickards (Arrow), Giancarlo Esposito (Revolution), Kristin Bauer (True Blood), Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf), Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Clark Gregg (Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Julie Plec (executive producer of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals) and Joseph Morgan (The Originals).
The discussion, inside the San Diego Convention Center's jam-packed Ballroom 20, kicked off with each star revealing which show represented on the panel they would most like to be on, with The Walking Dead being a popular choice among Morgan and Underwood, who wants to lobby the producers to be a zombie on their series, but Gurira admitted "he's too handsome, it wouldn't work!"

The fans couldn't get enough of Gregg, whose Agent Phil Coulson is resurrected in the pilot episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.LD., but even though some members of the audience had already viewed the pilot earlier in the day, he was tight-lipped when it came to series details. "We learn something in the pilot, but everything we learn opens up a whole other series of questions, so I was instantly on board!" said Gregg, who also commanded the audience applause when he mentioned buzz-words like "Thor," "Buffy" and "Firefly." "I'm just going to say 'Norman Reedus,'" countered Gurira, to the delight of the fans.
Some insight into each actor's show was also revealed during the panel, including a Teen Wolf tease from Hoechlin, who said the rest of the season will tie up a lot of loose ends, including a flashback episode next week where "a lot of questions are answered about Derek's past about why the way that he is." And when Revolution begins its second season in the fall, expect a good amount of surprises because Esposito admits "when I read the first script, I literally fell off my chair. I think the fans are going to be freaking out."
The fans also got scoop on this fall's new series The 100 and Ironside straight from the stars. Cusick, who audience members adored from Lost, says he signed onto The CW's 100 because "I love sci-fi and it's a bit Lost-ish. I missed the running around and high stakes." Underwood, who assumes the Ironside role made famous by Raymond Burr, notes the new NBC series is a "re-imagining as a different guy who is in your face, politically incorrect, loves women and always fights for the underdog, which is most important."
When the fans took the microphone for the audience questions, several queries went to Originals team Plec and Morgan, with one fan asking the noted reader Morgan whether or not he'll write a book in the future. "For now I'm just a book fan," he revealed. "In an ideal situation, I see myself going away for two years and spending it in a retreat, but now it's mostly just me writing about Stephen King." As for the future of Klaus on The Originals, Plec was hesitant to reveal any specific details, but she did tease "there will be new and powerful creatures introduced at some point that give [Klaus] a run for his money."
