Season 2 of True Detective: the Wedding Crashers quasi-reunion the world has been waiting for! Um, wait, what?
Earlier this week, HBO quashed months of frenzied speculation and confirmed that Vaughn and Colin Farrell would star in the second season of the prestigious HBO drama.
According to the trade magazine's report, Friday Night Lights alum Taylor Kitsch is expected to land the fourth lead role.
The second season is set in California and will revolve around three police officers (Farrell and, if all goes according to plan, McAdams and Kitsch) and a career criminal (Vaughn) who navigate a complicated web of conspiracy following a murder. Other leading ladies that were reportedly up for the role include Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Biel and Malin Akerman, just to name a few.
McAdams, also known for her roles in Mean Girls, The Notebook and Midnight in Paris, most recently starred in A Most Wanted Man.
