The True Blood cast and showrunner Brian Buckner said their final goodbye to Comic-Con on Saturday night to much applause and nostalgia. More importantly, they also offered a few spoilers on what's in store for the residents of Bon Temps before the end.
Tara lives: Just kidding. Sookie's (Anna Paquin) best friend is dead, but she will be back. "People have not seen the last of Rutina yet," Buckner said.

Sarah Newlin does not: We're just guessing here, but it pretty much sounds like she's going to die. "I think I get what I deserve," Anna Camp said, to which Buckner noted that he had to explain to Camp's boyfriend on set that her character actually deserves her ultimate punishment. Bonus non-Comic-Con related scoop: We spoke with Camp ahead of Sunday's episode and she revealed that Sarah does escape from Eric and runs to her sister for help.
Sam might not get a happy ending: Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) wasn't too pleased with Sam (Sam Trammell) during Sunday's episode, calling out the residents of Bon Temps for throwing a party when the world seems to be imploding. "We'll see how committed I am to her and how committed she is to staying," Trammell said.
True Blood's latest victim: "You have to get him out of the way"
Arlene will get a happy ending: It should come as no surprise that Arlene (Carrie Preston) and Keith (Riley Smith) will be growing much closer in the final episodes after he saved her life by feeding her his blood. "Maybe there's some stuff coming up between Arlene and Keith that I've never had to do on camera before," Preston said.
But will Sookie and Bill get one? "They might," Buckner said. "This show started out and worked because of the chemistry they shared. We had to come back to Bill and Sookie. How we're coming back to them, we're not telling you." Buckner later added that, in the final episodes, "there's a bit more of a focus on romance." Hopefully this means Bill (Stephen Moyer) survives!
True Blood airs Sundays at 9/8c on HBO.
