But the performance was abruptly cut short when the credits began rolling. Reznor immediately took to Twitter to air his frustration.
"Music's biggest night... to be disrespected. A heartfelt F--- YOU guys," Reznor wrote.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Recording Academy President Neil Portnow explained to reporters, "We save the end slot for something that is a bit of a jam, because you can have the energy go and then it's just a matter of the clock."
