E*Trade says its "milkaholic" baby commercial is meant to be "witty and memorable," not a dig at Lindsay Lohan, whose lawsuit against the company is "without merit," the financial company said in a statement.

"With the E*Trade Baby, our advertising campaign is meant to be witty and memorable, while effectively communicating the powerful investing tools and services offered by E*Trade," the statement read. "We believe the claims are without merit and we intend to defend ourselves vigorously in this case."Lohan sued E*Trade on Monday, claiming the company modeled its "milkaholic" baby Lindsay, the third wheel in a baby love triangle, after her in its latest commercial.
