Yay! Tracy Morgan, who's gradually returning to work following a devastating car accident that left him in critical condition last year, seems to be making a triumphant comeback.

The Hollywood Reporter says Morgan is in talks to portray comic legend Redd Foxx in Lee Daniels' upcoming Richard Pryor biopic. Foxx, of course, is known for starring in the classic TV sitcom Sanford and Son, but is perhaps lesser known for giving Pryor his start by allowing Pryor to open for him in the comedy club he owned.

Other stars attached to the project include Oprah Winfrey, who'll play Pryor's grandmother as well as Taraji P. Henson and Eddie Murphy, who'll play Pryor's parents.

"Mr. Foxx, I hope I do you justice!" said Morgan in a statement. "It will be an honor to portray an icon."

Morgan is also set to appear in Fist Fight, a comedy with Ice Cube, and hit the road on a stand up tour in February.
