Tracy Morgan will headline his first stand-up special for HBO, the network announced Tuesday.
Tracy Morgan: Black and Blue will premiere on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 10/9c. The special was taped in front of a live audience back in September at New York's Apollo Theatre, where he was first discovered in the '80s.
The segment will cover everything from airport profiling and terrorism to meeting President Obama. "The special is going to be all the elements: fire, water, earth, air, the comedy bender, the avatar of comedy experience," the 41-year-old comic said in a statement.
Morgan is best known for his role as Tracy Jordan on 30 Rock, now in its fifth season. Before that, Morgan spent eight years on Saturday Night Live where he was best known for characters like Brian Fellow and his impersonations of Star Jones and Mike Tyson. He also starred in The Tracy Morgan Show, a sitcom that was cancelled after one season in 2004.
Morgan was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actor in a comedy series in 2009 for his work on 30 Rock.
