Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, The Office creators, send Karl Pilkington to sites across the world in this offbeat series. What sets this apart from other travelogues? Karl is truly a stranger in a strange land as his cohorts don't tell him where he's going or what to expect while cameras capture his off-the-cuff reactions. In the debut, we get a look at what to expect from the series, which is followed by Karl's trip to China at 10/9c. — Michael Chant

Three Big East teams entered this week without a conference loss, but only Pittsburgh (6-0) made it to the weekend unblemished as Villanova (4-1) and Syracuse (5-1) both tripped up in tough Monday road tests. The Wildcats and Orange both look to bounce back this afternoon at the Carrier Dome, where Syracuse rode the energy of a record crowd to a 95-77 thrashing of Jay Wright's squad last season. Regardless of whether injured guard Kris Joseph sees action, Syracuse can count on a gritty effort from Philly guys Rick Jackson and Scoop Jardine. Nova's difference could come at the free-throw line, where the 'Cats rank atop the conference while the Orange sit 16th and last. — Roger Leister

John Walsh and Co. have been missing from Fox's Saturday-night lineup the last few weeks, but one of tonight's poster boys — Elrick "Big E" Wynn of St. Petersburg, Fla. — has been missing for 15 years. Wynn, the alleged leader of a crack-cocaine ring so big and efficient that a prosecutor at the time dubbed it "the Microsoft of south St. Petersburg," disappeared after being indicted in 1996. Cops broke up the ring but haven't been able to catch Big E. They think he fled to the Virgin Islands. They also think he might have gotten breast implants, so maybe he's hiding in a dress. — Paul Droesch
