New Year's Eve with Carson Daly10/9c NBC Here's the Daly news: The countdown commences when late-night talker Carson Daly rings in 2011 with a cork-poppin' year-end celebration from Times Square in New York City. Adding a musical blast to the festivities are slated performances by rapper Lil Wayne, hip-hop songstress Nicki Minaj and the rockers of My Chemical Romance. In an interview segment, U2's Bono and the Edge discuss writing the score and lyrics for the Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.  — Dean Maurer
New Year's Eve Live11/10c Fox Singer-songwriter-actor Brandy wears lots of hats, and if you saw her on Dancing with the Stars, she's pretty light on her feet too. But now you can add "reporter" to her résumé, because she's serving as a special correspondent from the streets of Las Vegas for Fox's annual New Year's Eve bash. Nancy O'Dell hosts the festivities, which will feature Mariah Carey's "Auld Lang Syne" video in addition to performances by Plain White T's, Travie McCoy, David Archuleta and dance crew JabbaWockeeZ. — Joe FriedrichAll American New Year11/10c Fox News Channel Fox News rings in the New Year at (where else?) Also scheduled to drop by: comedian John DiResta, Miss USA Rima Fakih and Miss Teen USA Kamie Crawford. — Jeff Gemmill

New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin11/10c CNN CNN walks a tightrope tonight, thanks to the always funny Kathy Griffin, who again partners with Anderson Cooper to anchor the New Year's action at Times Square. Last year, if you remember, Griffin slipped an obscenity into a conversation with A.C. The year before, she shouted an ill-advised comment to a cameraman when the broadcast was cutting to a commercial. This year? She claims the news net has vowed to immediately yank her off air if she spouts any $#*!. (Vegas, it's believed, is taking wagers....) — Jeff Gemmill
MTV's New Year's Bash 201110:30/9:30c MTV Comic Whitney Cummings hosts MTV's New Year's Eve party, joined by Flo Rida, Bobby Moynihan of Saturday Night Live, Julie Alexandria and Kevin Manno of MTV's The Seven, Nick Kroll (FX's The League), YouTube lip-synching celeb Keenan Cahill and Jersey Shore members (Pauly D. serves as house DJ). And Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi drops in. We mean that literally. She'll be inside a ball as it descends to greet 2011. — Paul Droesch
