Baseball players Matt Capps and John Lannan make appearances, as does the Nationals' sultan of swing, Adam Dunn. Rick Moonen is the guest judge. — Dean Maurer

It's a Cannon ball. The Nick Cannon-hosted competition series continues rolling along, and talent-contest fanatics are having a ball. Starting back on June 1 with humble open auditions, Season 5 has since bounced through myriad performance installments, tense results episodes, YouTube-act showcases and a wild-card round. This seasonal arc took us to the grand opening of the semifinal round last night, slated to feature performances by 12 acts from the Top 24. Hoping to break into the Top 10, these contestants now await their judgments in tonight's results show. — Dean Maurer

The Sparks have ended Seattle's season in the 2006, 2008 and 2009 playoffs. Seattle has home-court advantage through this series, which could play a major factor as they went 16-0 at KeyArena this season. — Kelly McGettigan
