World Cup Soccer
9:30 a.m./8:30c ESPN
Short on consequences but long on entertaining soccer, Brazil and its former colonial overseer, Portugal, meet on the final day of group action having already assured themselves a place in the knockout round. Single-named stars litter both lineups, though Brazil is without the services of the suspended Kaka and may need to rest a banged-up Elano. Entering play, Portugal sits second in Group G (meaning a round-of-16 match with the winner of Spain's group) but is riding a wave of confidence after Monday's 7-0 rout of North Korea, with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo capping the flood of goals. — Roger Leister

Debby Ryan (Suite Life on Deck) stars in this cute 2010 comedy as Abby Jensen, an eager-to-be-older high schooler who wakes up on her 16th birthday ready to see the 16 wishes she's made come true. And they do with the help of a magical friend. But, as the saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Abby learns that lesson the hard way when one of her wishes brings about unexpected and unwelcome consequences. — Tim Holland

Michael Jackson left us a year ago today, and while the investigation into his death isn't complete, a year does allow for some perspective on the King of Pop's remarkable career, and his controversial life and death. This two-hour retrospective includes interviews with longtime Jackson makeup artist Karen Faye, and costumers Michael Bush and Dennis Tompkins, and a tour of the Neverland Ranch. As for the present, there's also an investigation update and a report on how Jackson's three children have fared over the past year. — Paul Droesch
Party Down
10/9c Starz
Wedding bells are bringing back that old gang in the engaging Season 2 finale. Former employee Constance Carmell (the irrepressible Jane Lynch) has found the man of her dreams in a 75-year-old gent who's in a wheelchair and on oxygen and seriously in the money. Is it true love and a perfect match or is she in it for the lucre? You'll see, as the bride-to-be hires her old catering chums to work the special occasion and Kyle's band, Karma Rocket, to provide the special music, which is just the frosting on the cake. — Ray Stackhouse

Today marks the first anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, and this documentary focusing on the final years of his life incorporates footage from both before and after his passing. Filmmaker Ian Halperin spent years investigating Jackson and then went undercover to get close to Jackson's inner circle after the entertainer's death. Included are interviews with people who spent time with Jackson during his last weeks, as well previously unreleased video and audio footage of the King of Pop. — Jennifer Sankowski
Merlin
10/9c Syfy
In the penultimate episode of the season, Morgause (Emilia Fox) revives the long-dormant Knights of Medhir in a plot to bring Uther's reign to an end. Complicating matters even more: All of Camelot's people, save for Morgana, succumb to a sleeping spell, making the kingdom ripe for Morgause and the knights to destroy. — Jeff Gemmill
