Funnyman Bill Engvall's all-in-the-family sitcom opens its third season with a double play of episodes. The wilting economy has been hurting many a wallet and purse — and you can count the Pearson family as one of the victims. One person who could take a direct hit from the downturn could be daughter Lauren, whose costly spring-break trip is jeopardized. In the second episode, Bill conjures up a master plan to combat Susan's passive-aggressive disposition. Meanwhile, neighbor Mr. Faulkner (Brian Doyle Murray) dips into his new hot tub in the buff, with Bill and Susan getting an unfortunate eyeshot. — Dean Maurer

Mending Fences

Former (and future) Melrose Place vixen Laura Leighton stars in this original feature as a journalist who returns to her rural hometown to discover that things have changed drastically since she left. Her headstrong and independent mother, played by Angie Dickinson, is struggling with deteriorating vision but completely denies her condition. Meanwhile, area farmers are being run out of town by an extreme drought, an unfortunate turn of events that seems to benefit a local casino developer. — Brie Hearn

Dirty Sexy Money

Fans of this now-canceled nighttime soap get to spend a little more time with the outrageous Darling clan as the series' final episodes unspool over the next four Saturdays. Tonight's episode even provides a mini refresher on the characters as in-the-know chauffeur Clark tells a persistent — and seductive — reporter (Rena Sofer) his version of how recent betrayals, cover-ups and accusations went down when she questions him about his scandal-plagued employers. — Jennifer Sankowski

John Heffron: Middle Class Funny

John Heffron has built a loyal following as a comedian, and that's not just because he won the second season of NBC's Last Comic Standing back in 2004. No, it probably has something to do with the way he incorporates his middle-class background, attitudes and observations into an act that sounds like it's coming from your next-door neighbor. Tune in tonight to hear Heffron's take on fashion, childhood and what to do when your wife wants to talk. — Joe Friedrich
