Gone Country
8 pm/ET CMT
John Rich likes to keep the contestants guessing in this series, and this week is no exception. He pulls the country wannabes out of Nashville and takes them to one of the world's biggest cities, where they'll perform aboard an aircraft carrier. And that's just the first of this week's surprises. —Fred Mitchell
Taking Chance
8 pm/ET HBO
A moving 2009 war film with hardly any scenes of on-screen violence, Ross Katz's directorial debut, a Grand Jury Prize nominee at Sundance, focuses solely on the human cost of conflict, particularly its effect on a community when a casualty comes home. Kevin Bacon gives an Emmy-worthy performance as Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, the coscreenwriter and retired marine who based the script on his journals, who volunteers to escort the body of a marine, killed in Iraq in 2004, to his family in Wyoming. —Joe Friedrich
Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin
9 pm/ET FOOD
Wildlife enthusiast Jeff Corwin shifts gears to focus on food and travel in this hourlong special that chronicles his journey to Thailand. He dives right into the local culture and cuisine by dining on a variety of creatures he's more accustomed to studying than eating, including locusts, blood cockles and wasp larvae. Oh my! —Karen Andzejewicz
Aisha Tyler Is Lit: Live at the Fillmore
11 pm/ET Comedy Central
Aisha Tyler is a triple-threat entertainer as an actor, writer and comic, and tonight it's the latter that takes center stage in this stand-up special, taped at the Fillmore in her hometown of San Francisco. The DVD comes out Tuesday, but don't miss tonight's premiere when Tyler takes on drinking, getting older and all the trappings of Valentine's Day. —Joe Friedrich
