TNT Renews Perception for Season 2

Perception has been renewed for a second season, TNT announced Friday.

The drama, which stars Will & Grace alum Eric McCormack as an eccentric neuroscience professor who helps the FBI solve complex cases, will return for a 13-episode second season, slated to air in 2013.

Perception debuted in July to 5.6 million viewers, which ranks third — behind the premieres of fellow TNT dramas Major Crimes and Dallas — on the list of the top series debuts on cable this year. The first-season finale will air in mid-September.
