TNT Developing Crime Drama From Ed Burns

Ed Burns is writing, directing and starring in a new crime drama pilot for TNT, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Ed Burns is writing, directing and starring in a new crime drama pilot for TNT, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The project, called Public Morals, is set in 1967 in New York City, and follows a group of cops in the Public Morals Division who "walk the line between morality and criminality as the temptations that come from dealing with all kinds of vice can get the better of them," according to EW.

Burns plays police officer Terry Muldoon, who's determined to raise his sons into honest men amid the morally corrupt environment in which they live.

Along with Burns, Steven SpielbergDarryl FrankJustin Falvey and Aaron Lubin are also executive-producing.
