Tina Fey celebrated having the No. 1 book (and the No. 86 TV show) in the country by returning to host Saturday Night Live for a third time. Six months along with her second child, the few sketches that did not reference the recent death of Osama bin Laden played up Fey's pregnancy.
For her monologue, Fey welcomed very pregnant fellow SNL alum Maya Rudolph onstage. The pair sang a song to their unborn babies ("feti"), creepily played by Kristen Wiig and Kenan Thompson, respectively:
Fey reprised her Emmy-winning portrayal of Sarah Palin. In a sketch poking fun at the Republican Party's undeclared presidential candidates, she shared the floor with SNL vet Darrell Hammond, who did his celebrated Donald Trump impression, and Jason Sudeikis as Mitt Romney:
Fey and Rudolph emphasized their growing bellies again for a sketch poking fun at old birthing videos:
Aside from Rudolph and Hammond's cameos, the biggest surprise appearance of the night belonged to Michael Bolton, who starred in the digital short "Jack Sparrow." In the video, Bolton lent his signature vocals and dressed up as Johnny Depp's on-screen pirate as well as Forrest Gump, Scarface and Erin Brockovich:
