In recent years, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have had to deal with negative rumors and gossip about their marriage. But while the longtime couple are still very much together, McGraw admits they have had a few issues — particularly because of his drinking.

"I partied too much. And did other things too much. Chemically. No needles or that kind of stuff, but ... use your imagination," McGraw told Men's Health magazine in a recent interview.

Stars who've shaved their heads

McGraw, 47, credits his wife and their three daughters, Gracie, 17, Maggie, 15, and Audrey, 12, for helping him see the error of his ways. "When your wife tells you it's gone too far, that's a big wake-up call," McGraw said. "That, and realizing you're gonna lose everything you have. Not monetarily, not career-wise, but family-wise. It got to the point where my kids were getting older, and it was way past the point that they noticed it. And I noticed that they noticed."

Now that the country singer and actor is no longer drinking, he's spending more time at the gym, which shows in his impressive physique. "I'll be the first to admit I take it to extremes," he said. "I'm not one of those people who can sorta half-a-- something."

McGraw is currently on tour and is slated to release a new album, Sundown Heaven Town, in September.
