Per the Hollywood Reporter, the Weinstein Co. has acquired worldwide rights to Crane — Iron Pentalogy, the series of martial-arts novels that includes Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. The plan, says Harvey Weinstein, is to turn the books into "a series of great films, much like The Lord of the Rings trilogy," as well as to adapt Crouching Tiger into a stage production.
