Comedian Tig Notaro is in the hospital and was forced to cancel a show over the weekend, The Hollywood Reporter reports. The Sarah Silverman Show star was due to perform at Denver's Paramount Theatre Sunday, but had to pull out because of a medical emergency.
"Tig is dealing with a medical emergency and is being hospitalized," read a Facebook post by concert promoter AEG Live Rocky Mountains on Sunday. "She will be alright but has to cancel the show tonight."
No details about the nature of the hospitalization were revealed.
Notaro is popular in the alternative comedy set, and has appeared in shows such asTransparent, Suburgatory, The Office, Community, and Inside Amy Schumer. Notaro made headlines in 2012 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, underwent a double mastectomy, and talked openly about it in a stand-up set in Los Angeles that was dubbed "a legendary performance" by Louis C.K. and other comedians who were on hand to witness it. She's been even less shy about her fight with cancer recently, and performed a stand-up set topless last month.
