From Big Love's sister-wife to American Horror Story: Asylum's nymphomaniac mental patient, Chloë Sevigny is known for her quirky roles. So starring as Pittsburgh homicide detective Catherine Jensen in the new A&E drama Those Who Kill (debuting March 3) may seem like a surprisingly conventional choice.

But scratch below the surface and you'll find that Catherine — who enlists a forensic psychiatrist (James D'Arcy) to help determine if her stepfather (Bruce Davison) is a serial killer — has some demons of her own. "Is she a bad cop? I don't know," says Sevigny. "She's definitely taking advantage of her position."

The series is based on a Danish drama, which Sevigny says she hasn't seen: "I had to turn it off after five seconds — I started crying because it scared me so bad."
