The Walking Dead's Alexandra Breckenridge Joins This Is Us

Alexandra Breckenridge can do both blood and tears: the former Walking Dead zombie-fighter will join NBC's tearjerker drama This Is Us, TVLine reports.

Breckenridge, who starred on The Walking Dead as Jessie Anderson, Rick Grimes' (Andrew Lincoln) love interest who got torn apart by zombies in Season 6, will join This Is Us as Sophie, a childhood friend of Pearson sibling Kate (Chrissy Metz).

There's no word on what brings Sophie back into Kate's life, but the character of Sophie is reportedly recurring, so it's possible that we'll be seeing a lot of the gals together.

In addition to The Walking Dead, Breckenridge's other television credits include True Blood and Life Unexpected. She also played young Moira in the Murder House season of American Horror Story.

This Is Us airs its fall finale on Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 9/8c on NBC.
