If you're a fan of The Walking Dead, you have a theory about the identity of the person Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) beat to death with a baseball bat in the Season 6 finale, which will be revealed in the Season 7 premiere on Oct. 23.

You might think the show is staying true to the comics and it's heroic former pizza guy Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) on the receiving end of Negan's blows. Or you might think it's the pregnant mother of Glenn's child, Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan), and the show will stay true to the traumatic spirit of the comic by keeping the victim in the family. Or it might be tough-guy soldier Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), since this would be a very heartbreaking moment for him to die, right on the verge of an emotional breakthrough. Or it might even be a combination of any and all of these characters! No one outside of a small group of insiders knows! Chris Hardwick might not even know yet!

Whoever it is, AMC is getting excellent publicity for its flagship show by keeping their identity a secret, because everyone is talking about it. So when TVGuide.com went to New York Comic Con and asked cosplayers -- dressed as The Walking Dead characters, or otherwise -- who they think Negan kills, just about everyone we asked had an opinion/theory.

The Riddler thinks the show will switch things up by killing Maggie. Another Riddler (we talked to a lot of Batman villains, for some reason) thinks it'll be Eugene (Josh McDermitt) since he just redeemed himself by proving he's a survivor, and the show loves to pull the rug out by killing characters while they're ascending (shout out to T-Dog [IronE Singleton]).

One Rick Grimes we talked to even suspects it'll be Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), because killing the fandom's favorite character would be the biggest gut-punch the show could do.

By far the most common answer, however, was Glenn. "He hasn't had any character development in a really long time," says Spider-Gwen. No one wants it to be Glenn, but the consensus is that Steven Yeun is out of a job.

We probably won't know for sure until The Walking Dead's Season 7 premiere on Sunday, Oct. 23 at 9/8c on AMC. Until then, we're just going to have to keep speculating.
