The Walking Dead Poll: Who Is Negan Going to Kill?

Somebody's gonna get their head bashed in. Who do you think it'll be?

After months of anxious anticipation and weeks of teasing, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) is finally debuting on the season finale of The Walking Dead this Sunday. Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus have both said that the finale is so upsetting that it left them speechless. And as readers of the comics know, Negan introduces himself by smashing Glenn's head in with Lucille, his baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire. We know that Negan is going to wield Lucille, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan told TVGuide.com in December that his character is going to "very much parallel" the comics. Someone we love is going to die.

But who? It could be Glenn (Steven Yeun), but to put fans through the Season 6A fake-out only to kill him off a few episodes later would be a huge betrayal on the show's part. Fans might turn on The Walking Dead if it's Glenn.

Fans also might turn if it's #1 bae Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), but it's increasingly looking like he might be the one to eat it. Daryl's already wounded as a result of his increasing grief-fueled recklessness. Daryl is the show's most beloved character, and killing him would make a huge statement that no one is safe.

A tribute to the Spikewagen, the greatest vehicle in Walking Dead history

Michonne (Danai Gurira) is another obvious candidate. As a character, Michonne got the Rick Grimes (Andew Lincoln) kiss of death, since every other woman Rick has gotten romantically involved with has bitten the dust. Getting her closer to Rick could be the writers setting the stage to make Michonne's death even more wrenching. Additionally, Danai Gurira's career outside of The Walking Dead is taking off -- she'll play Tupac Shakur's mother in the upcoming biopic All Eyez on Me, and her play Eclipsed is earning raves for Lupita Nyong'o's performance. She can't stay in Atlanta forever when Hollywood and Broadway beckon.

There are other characters who could be getting set up to be on the receiving end of Lucille too: Morgan's (Lennie James) pacifism, Abraham's (Michael Cudlitz) brazenness and Maggie's (Lauren Cohan) faith in the future could all be setting them up for a fall.

Who said it: Walking Dead character or Real Housewife?

Of course, all of this could be a moot point, if the show is really so cruel as to follow through on the rumored cliff-hanger.

Vote below, and watch The Walking Dead's finale Sunday, April 3 at 9/8c on AMC.
